Athletes are constantly adjusting to mental and physical indicators that demand their undivided focus. The work of maintaining this focus is key to any enjoying and succeeding at any athletic endeavor, whether professional or recreational.
Often, the information being processed by an athlete is taking place at speeds beyond conscious comprehension. When this happens, and all the information is being assimilated correctly, the athlete enters the “zone” – a place of almost effortless performance. While many athletes at all levels have had this experience, it seems difficult to replicate. Our emphasis on physical training is a natural, and sensible, approach to reproducing this level of performance. But there’s more. |
Body and mind are key and must work together, but there is a spiritual component as well. This can be developed to literally create “space” within an athlete where the “zone” can take up residence and be accessed, even before engaging in the activity. One can literally create a “place” within, from which one can undertake the activity with complete presence – where the activity is performed with less effort.
This is great for the slopes or trails - but best of all - it can be carried over into ALL of life’s activities, relationships and vocations! Learn more or ask questions under “Classes” |
